Interrailing was epic. 2 weeks, 7 countries, a million train journeys and a whole load of laughs. It was tiring, don’t get me wrong, but it created memories to last a lifetime and I would jump at the chance to do it again. We went to Paris, Bern, Spiez, Thun, Zurich, Salzburg, Hallstatt, Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava, Neuschwanstein Castle, Berchtesgaden, Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne and Brussels. Europe is by far my favourite continent, so much history and culture in such a small area. I have so many more countries I would love to explore in Europe and am constantly planning the next euro trip.
There is nothing like sitting on a train for 5 hours winding your way through beautiful countryside and mountains and on the edge of lakes that expand for miles. The scenery was amazing. Pretty much all the trains were really nice too and spacious, much more so than in old Blighty! It took a bit of organising but you can be as spontaneous as you like depending on which pass you go for. We definitely got our money’s worth.
All these photos were taken with my Canon 600d and the 18-55mm kits lens.
